I have been practicing and teaching mindfulness and presence for over twenty years. After a spiritual awakening in 1999, I lived at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and studied yoga and Eastern spirituality for nine months. In 2001, I graduated from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher Training program at the Center for Mindfulness at the UMass Medical School. I have also studied and practiced the principles of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and trauma based somatic healing techniques. I am the author of The Inner Path: A Guide to Living a More Mindful, Fulfilling, and Spiritual Life & A Mindful Approach to Parenting: Insights on Raising Our Children With Wisdom, Awareness, and Acceptance. I also have a bachelor of commerce degree and a Masters in Special Education. Since 2000, I have done many silent extended meditation retreats, with the most recent being a six week one.
My mindfulness and presence talks have been used by the US Department of Veteran Affairs and can be found on the Insight Timer app and the Good Men Project. I am an International Mindfulness Teachers Association certified professional level instructor and have taught in a variety of corporate, educational, and private settings.
My spiritual journey has helped me discover much peace and presence and I can help you find it, too. I can help you create it.
I can help you be it.
I look forward to speaking with you to see how I can help.
Much peace,
Geoff

Mindfulness can help us be more aware and accepting of ourselves
- Geoff Bell-Devaney
For I Awaken
Because I breathe, I am enough.
Because I breathe.
For I awaken to each new day, I am enough.
For I awaken.
Since I am alive, I am enough.
I am enough.
And I can sit without moving,
without doing.
Because I am enough.
And I am whole.
Because I breathe.
Because I awaken.
Because I am.
That is enough.
Constantly orienting towards ease can help us know peace
